SUNDAY MORNING SERMON SERIES during August will be on the Book of Ruth. Pastor Bert Lane will be preaching. The schedule is: August 3 - Ruth, Chapter 1; August 10 - Ruth, Chapter 2; August 17 - Ruth, Chapter 3; and August 24 - Ruth, Chapter 4. The Old Testament story is full of passion, intrigue and faithfulness.

THE ANNUAL UTICA PICNIC IS SATURDAY, AUGUST 16, 12 noon - ?, at the Picnic Woods. Mark your calendars for a great day of good food, music and fellowship. Picnic dinner (fried chicken and country ham) tickets are $15 for anybody 10-99 years of age. Children's tickets, ages 3 - 9, are $5. Children younger than 3 and elders 100 or older are free. Music on the bandstand begins at 1:00 p.m. and continues to 9:00 p.m. In addition to picnic dinners, there will be sandwiches, baked goods and ice cream available for sale. A hayride through the Woods will run throughout the day, and children's games will be available. PLEASE NOTE: This is a "cash only" fund-raising event. The music line-up on the bandstand is:

                           5:30 - 7:00 p.m.    The Versitiles
                           7:00 - 9:00 p.m.    The Bluegrass Express


8:00 a.m.  Relaxed Communion Service with Children's Sermon
    9:00 a.m.  Fellowship Time with Light Refreshments
    9:15 a.m.  Adult Sunday School Class
   10:30 a.m. Traditional Communion Service

DIRECTIONS TO THE CHURCH (10621 Old Frederick Rd.): From Frederick, MD., US 15 North 5 miles, bear right on Old Frederick Rd. and proceed 1.5 miles to Utica. The church is on the right.

DIRECTIONS TO ST. PAUL'S PICNIC WOODS: From Frederick, MD., US 15 north 6.5 miles, right onto Hessong Bridge Rd. for 1 mile, right on Lewistown Rd. for .5 mile, the gate is on the right.
