ANNUAL HAYRIDE AND VISIT TO THE BROOKFIELD FARMS PUMPKIN PATCH is Sunday, October 22. The hayride will leave the church parking lot at 9:15 a.m. Every participant will be able to harvest a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. This event is sponsored by the Utica Sunday School.

REFORMATION  500 SUNDAY is October 29. At morning worship, Pastor Lane's preaching series on the themes of the Reformation will conclude. A German Dinner will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall followed by a program on Reformation sites in Germany presented by Dr. Raymond Ediger. A free-will offering will be received to help cover the cost of the food.

ALL SAINTS' SUNDAY is Sunday, November 5. Members and friends of the church who have died during the past year will be named and memorialized at both worship services.

FALL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING is Sunday, November 12, 4:00 p.m. There are two agenda items: the election of Church Council members for 2018 (There are four seats vacant....one for a two year term, three for three year terms.); and the adoption of the 2018 Budget for the church.

LEWISTOWN-UTICA COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE is Tuesday, November 21, 7:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Church of Utica. The speaker will be Shannon Aleshire, Executive Director of the Mental Health Association of Frederick County. Refreshments will follow the service.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  The Old Frederick Road Bridge just south of the church over Fishing Creek is closed for bridge deck replacement. This impacts people coming to the church from the Frederick and Walkersville areas. Detours are posted... travel time to the church's campus in Utica has increased by a few minutes for those affected.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR CHURCH BUILDING from Frederick taking into account the closure of the Old Frederick Road Bridge : US Route 15 N from Frederick. Turn right on Hessong Bridge Road, go one mile, turn right on Utica Road, go 1.5 miles, turn left on Old Frederick Road. The church is on your right.

DIRECTIONS TO THE CHURCH'S PICNIC WOODS (7515 Lewistown Rd, Thurmont, MD. 21788)  from Utica: Proceed northbound on Old Frederick Rd. for 1 mile, turn left onto Lewistown Rd and proceed 1 1/2 miles. The gate to the Picnic Woods is on the left. NOTE: From US 15 North, you may turn right on Hessong Bridge Rd., go 1.5 miles, turn right on Lewistown Rd. The gate is on your right after you have crossed Fishing Creek.
